Corporate Social Responsibility Of Mega Bank Nepal Limited during 2074-75
Supported “Garib Tatha Anath Balika Griha” for Education
“Garib Tatha Anath Balika Griha” is an NGO working for the needy female children to make them self-dependent with proper education. They are providing education to the 29 marginalized female children. In this regards, Mega Bank has provided some financial support to the NGO for the education of the female children during 7th Anniversary of the Bank.
Supported “International Society for Krishna Consciousness-Nepal (ISKCON)” for “Jal-Daan”
The Bank provided support with drinking water to the participants of the program done by ISKCON during Krishna Janmasthami Festival as the Bank’s Corporate Social Activity.
Supported the flood victims of Terai Region
The Bank provided financial support to purchase relief materials to the flood victims of Terai Region from 2075 monsoon.
Awareness Activities through Highway Boards
The Bank utilized highway road side areas to provide awareness and informative messages to the road users where different flex boards with informative messages like: road traffic safety information, environmental awareness messages, Banking information, Anti-Human trafficking information, social awareness information, etc. were installed.
Supported for the Education of Needy Children of Gorkha and Dolkha
Mega Bank has been supporting to the children who are the victims of 2072 earthquake at Gorkha and Dolkha Districts. The Bank is providing scholarship to 20 girl children and 20 boy children for the education to make their future bright.
Supported District Police Office, Parwat with Drinking Water Tank
As a social responsibility the Bank supported District Police Office at Parwat with Drinking Water Tank.
Supported the Children of Dhading Districts
The Bank provided different educational materials to the needy children in different schools at Dhading District. The Bank provided school bags and exercise copies to the students.
Supported Street Children of Pokhara and Kathmandu
Mega Bank provided support to St. Xavier’s students for the distribution of 100 pieces of jackets to street children to protect them from cold during winter time.
Supported ‘Pabitra Samaj Sewa Nepal” for Construction of Orphanage
The Bank supported raw materials (bricks and cements) to Pabitra Semaj Sewa Nepal (PSS) for the construction of Orphanage Home. PSS has been providing food, healthcare, education, nutrition for the beneficiary group. Currently, there are 55 people including children, widows and senior citizens under the care of this organization. It provides for the school level education of the children and also conducts vocational training such as sewing, basic computer and awareness training.
Participated and Supported in “No-Horn Campaign”
The Bank participated and supported the Nepal Government’s “No Horn Campaign” by distributing different awareness stickers which were pasted in different public and private vehicles.
Distributed Mask to the General Public
As the people of Kathmandu Valley are facing air pollution due to various reasons, hence, considering their health problem, the Bank has distributed mask to the general people of Kathmandu Valley to protect them from dusty and polluted air.
Provided LED Screens to Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board
The Bank has provided three LED Screens to Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board with the objective to inform about the listed rate of various fruits and vegetable to the visiting people in that market as well as provide awareness messages about hygiene foods and vegetables, cleanliness and financial literacy awareness.
Supported Wheel Chair Cricket Association
For the support and encouragement to differently abled people, Mega Bank has supported Wheel Chair Association for the International Game by supporting with Jerseys for the team.
Supported “Help to the Helpless Council- Nepal”
The Bank provided financial support to “Help to the Helpless Council- Nepal” located at Dharan for the education of economically weak students. The NGO has already been supporting talented students who want to study but due to economic condition their parents could not afford for their education. They have already helped 59 such students to pass SLC level. Recently they have been supporting 90 students for their education.
Supported Navajyoti Netralaya for Eye Camp
The Bank supported Navajyoti Netralaya for Eye Camp at Palpa where they have conducted Eye OPD services for approximately 300 patients, cataract surgery with Alcon Lens Implantation for 150 patients, Ear series for 8 patients and ENT OPD for 100 patients.
Supported Fellowship Society Nepal
The Bank supported “Fellowship Society Nepal” in their program “Orientation Mobility & Money Identification Training” for visual disable youths. The program was organized with the objective to make blind youths independent of their easy access in different places like Schools, colleges, Government Office, Hospitals, Roads and so on and to safe them by cheating by others. In the same program the Bank provided White stick with blind fold and Braille handout.
Supported Social Service Club of Budhanilkantha School
The Bank supported Social Service Club of Budhanilkantha School for the distribution of Solar Panels at Hatti Dhunge Village at Khotang District. The Bank provided financial support to purchase six solar panel for that village.
Distributed Blankets at Sarlahi
The Bank distributed blankets to the villagers at Khairawa Sarlahi during winter season with the objective to protect them from Sheetlahar.
Supported Nepal Scout in their voluntary work
The Bank supported Nepal Scout for their voluntary work at Pashupatinath Temple during “Maha Shivaratri” festival.
Supported “Mahila Bouddha Samuha” for Peace Walk
The Bank supported “Mahila Bouddha Samuha” for Peace Walk in remembrance of the passengers who have died in US-Bangla Airlines Crash. The Bank supported the organization for the tree plantation at Namo Buddha Area to maintain greenery.
Supported for the renovation of Cultural Heritage at Thimi
The Bank provided financial assistant to “Siddhikali Jhochhe Marmat Upabhokta Samitee” for renovation of one of the ancient and traditional heritage, “Siddhikali Jhochhe” located at Mid-Thimi, Bhaktapur.
Financial support for CCTV Installation at Nepalgunj Area
The Bank provided financial assistant for the installation of CCTV at Nepalgunj area for the security and safety concern in that market. Installation of CCTV has helped to improve security condition of that area.
Supported Nepal Madhyabindu Community Memorial Hospital
The Bank has provided one Unit of Air Condition for “Nepal Madhyabindu Community Memorial Hospital” located at Kawasoti, Sahidnagar. The same was provided with the aim to provide quality service to the patients of that hospital.
