Corporate Social Responsibility Of
Mega Bank Nepal Limited during 2073-74
Supported “Early Childhood Development Center”
Mega Bank provided support to “Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC)” for “The Butterfly Nursery Kit Project” for the education of one child in Prison. ECDC Center provides care for imprisoned children at least until they are 16 years old, or longer if the child is believed to be greater risk outside ECDC’s residential home. For the Butterfly Nursery Kit Project the Bank supported one child who is in prison with toys, books and educational supplies.
Supported to Children and Youth First (CYF)
The Bank provided support to CYF- an NGO registered in Lalitpur District for providing shelter and education for 55 marginalized children.
Supported for the installation of CCTV in different places
Mega Bank provided financial support for the installation of CCTV in different places like: Dhangadhi Area, Birgunj, Dailekh, Kawasoti, Taulihawa and Birtamode. Installation of CCTV has helped to improve security condition of those areas.
Distributed of socks to the Street Children
Mega Bank provided support to St. Xavier’s students for the distribution of 500 pairs of socks to street children to protect them from cold during winter time.
Blanket Distribution for Orphanage Home
The Bank has provided support to Service for Peace (orphanage home) by distributing blankets during winter time (Sheetlahar) to protect them from cold. The orphanage home has been providing shelter to 27 orphan children.
Supported to Kathmandu Cricket Association of Blind Nepal
For the support and encouragement to differently abled youth, Mega Bank has supported Kathmandu Cricket Association of Blind Nepal for the International Game held in India by supporting with Uniforms/Jerseys for the team.
Conducted Financial Literacy Programs in different areas
The Bank has conducted “Financial Literacy Program” in different areas like: Dhangadhi, Jogbuda, Sanfebagar, Ghorahi, Chautara, Baneshwor, Tansen and provides different information related to Bank and its products and services, importance of savings, utilization of money, Banking/Financial Sectors, etc to the students/ teaches as well as local people.
Supported Government in “No Horn Campaign”
Mega Bank has supported Government in “No Horn Campaign”. The Bank has made “No Horn” Stickers and distributed in public as well as private vehicles. Moreover, the Bank has also supported the campaign by placing “No Horn” Flex Banners at different places.
Supported for the Renovation of Cultural Heritage
Mega Bank supported for the renovation of Ashok Stupa at Thamel which was destroyed by earthquake 2072. The Bank provided financial support for the renovation of the Stupa as it is one of the ancient heritage of the area which also attracts tourist. The Bank also painted and fenced Buddha Stupa located at Kamaladi.
Distribution of Mosquito Net, School Bags and Exercise Copies at Dhanding
Mega Bank distributed Mosquito net to the households at Dhading Area during summer time to protect them from mosquito diseases. In addition, the Bank also distributed School Bags and Exercise Copies to the needy children of that Area to encourage them for the education.
Tree Plantation at Hariwan Area
The Bank planted trees at Hariwan Area on World Environment Day with the support from Hariwan Municipality with the aim to make the area clean, green and attractive.
Distribution of Mask to the General Public
As the people of Kathmandu Valley are facing air pollution due to various reasons, hence, considering their health problem, the Bank has distributed mask to the general people of Kathmandu Valley to protect them from dusty and polluted air.
Supported and Participated for Bagmati Sarsafai Abhiyan
The Bank supported as well as participated for Bagmati Sarsafai Abhiyan with the aim to make the river clean as well as aware the general people not to pollute the river.
